We are all mutually responsible for promoting the greater good by nurturing all citizens and strengthening all levels of community.

We believe in:

  • Self-governance for all peoples that is effective and fair
  • Expansion and protection of human rights

  • Life-long educational opportunities available to all
  • Economically viable universal health care
  • Job opportunities with living wages
  • Preservation and restoration of critical natural ecosystems
  • Serving public interest over destructive marketplace forces

We will strive to accomplish support of our beliefs by:

  • Advocating for more participation in the political process with special attention to women and minorities
  • Effecting and protecting reproductive freedom
  • Working for economic and political equality of women and other minorities
  • Confronting and disarming discrimination
  • Participating in coordinated research and actions based on common concerns
  • Working for greater access to educational, health and job opportunities
  • Seeking avenues of collaboration with allied environmental groups
  • Exposing and changing destructive corporate interests

We will:

  • Encourage the organization of small groups of like-minded individuals
  • Sponsor and conduct educational activities, including speakers, issue forums, debates and skill-building workshops
  • Seek and develop alliances with other organizations sharing common goals
  • Recruit, counsel, endorse and campaign for candidates for public office who share our values
